Terms of Service — Fambient

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Fambient ("the app," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What Fambient Is

Fambient is a household management app that helps families and groups organize chores, tasks, and rewards. Any reward points or dollar amounts displayed in the app are virtual only — they do not represent real currency, have no monetary value, and cannot be redeemed, transferred, or exchanged for real money or goods. They are a tool to help households track and manage their own internal reward systems.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

• By creating an account, you confirm you are at least 13 years old
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent any restrictions

4. Family Groups and Invite System

Fambient uses a closed, invite-only family group system. To join a family group, a user must receive an invite code from the account holder. By issuing an invite code, the account holder takes responsibility for who they invite into their family group.

5. Your Content

You own the content you add to Fambient — including your name, photos, notes, and family information. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store and display that content within the app solely for the purpose of providing you the service. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for any other purpose.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Fambient to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Upload content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes on anyone's rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, copy, or distribute any part of the app

7. Subscriptions and Billing

Fambient offers a free tier and a premium subscription. For premium subscribers:

• Subscriptions are billed through the platform you purchased from (Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
• Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel your subscription in your store account settings
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except where required by law

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we determine you have violated these Terms, misused the app, or engaged in harmful conduct. You may delete your account at any time via the Delete Account option in your settings.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Fambient is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the app will be available at all times, error-free, or free of interruptions. We are not responsible for any loss of data due to technical failures.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fambient and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. The date at the top of this page will always reflect when it was last revised.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable Pennsylvania and US federal law.
