Terms of Service — TipSplitz

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using TipSplitz ("the app," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What TipSplitz Is

TipSplitz is a tip calculator with smart bill splitting features for group dining. The app helps you calculate tips, split bills evenly or by custom percentages, and determine per-person totals. All calculations are performed on your device — no account is required and no personal data you enter (such as bill amounts or split details) is transmitted or stored by us.

3. Use of the App

You agree to use TipSplitz only for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Reverse engineer, copy, decompile, or distribute any part of the app
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or its infrastructure
  • Use the app in any way that could disable, damage, or impair its functionality

4. Advertising

TipSplitz is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob. By using the free version of the app, you agree to be shown ads. Ad content is selected and delivered by Google and is not curated by us. We are not responsible for the content of any third-party advertisements displayed in the app.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

TipSplitz offers an optional ad-free subscription. For subscribers:

  • Subscriptions are billed through the platform you purchased from (Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
  • Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel your subscription in your store account settings
  • No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except where required by law

6. Calculation Accuracy

TipSplitz is provided as a convenience to help you estimate tips and split bills. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that any calculation is free of error. You are responsible for verifying any amount before relying on it for payment or settlement.

7. Payment Requests

TipSplitz includes an optional feature that generates payment request links and messages for third-party payment services (such as Venmo, Cash App, and PayPal). TipSplitz does not process, transmit, hold, or facilitate any payment, and is not a party to any transaction between you and any other person. We only generate a link or message based on the payment handle and amount you provide, which you may then choose to share. Any actual payment occurs entirely within the relevant third-party service and is subject to that service's own terms and policies.

You are solely responsible for (a) entering your own correct payment handle(s), (b) ensuring the requested amount is correct, and (c) confirming the recipient and amount within your payment app before any money is sent. TipSplitz is not responsible or liable for any incorrect, failed, delayed, duplicated, or misdirected payment, including any payment sent to the wrong recipient as a result of an incorrect or mistyped handle, or for any disputes, fees, or losses arising from your use of a third-party payment service.

The payment request feature is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability arising from or related to the payment request feature and any third-party payment service.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of TipSplitz — including but not limited to its name, logo, design, and software — are owned by Just Vibez LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

TipSplitz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be available at all times, error-free, or free of interruptions. You use the app at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Just Vibez LLC and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to damages resulting from incorrect calculations, missed payments, or social disputes — arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. The date at the top of this page will always reflect when it was last revised.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable Pennsylvania and US federal law.
